You say over the microphone, “Orange Cat, fight Arctic Fox!” and anticipate if what you said would actually happen. So far, you're pretty satisfied with how your city turned out. The farm for the family of three is finished, and now you enjoy the commands you could give to literally anything using the app, Moatboat.
Students can use Moatboat to explore different animal species and demonstrate the life cycle. Maybe you want to add a few sea animals here and there. By verbally giving directions, you can venture into giving commands to adjust your characters. The possibilities are endless!
What makes Moatboat extra special is the augmented and virtual reality features. Students will be able to see their characters come to life when they are standing and interacting in their classroom area.
As a high school student, I never get to use these type of technologies inside the classroom. If I had these types of opportunities, I think I would be more involved and have the chance to understand my class material better. I think it's really cool how you can create a story with these characters using Moatboat.
Here are steps on how to play Moatboat Step 1. Download the Moatboat app Step 2. Play or skip the tutorial Step 3. Create or explore in the platform Step 4. Build and play with others on the same Wifi
Share what you plan to create with your students using Moatboat in the comments below.
