Exciting CoSpaces Updates+ Webinar Recording

Exciting New Updates in CoSpaces Edu: Enhancing Accessibility, Usability, and Creativity (COMING AT THE END OF AUGUST)!

CoSpaces Edu has always been a leading EdTech tool for innovation and creativity to engage our students. I had the privilege of sharing CoSpaces in a webinar tonight with Dr. Rachelle Dene Poth and Heather Bratley, and we had a blast.

In the webinar, I unveiled a series of updates (coming at the end of August) that keep CoSpaces Edu a leader in immersive technology. These updates make CoSpaces more accessible, user-friendly, and versatile. They are designed to enhance the learning experience for students and educators, allowing everyone to benefit from CoSpaces Edu's capabilities.

ALL UPDATES ARE EXPECTED AT THE END OF AUGUST.

Learning Accessibility with the Immersive Reader

One of the most significant updates is the integration of Microsoft's Immersive Reader. This powerful tool is a game-changer that makes CoSpaces Edu more inclusive and accessible for all learners. The Immersive Reader is known for its ability to support reading comprehension through features such as text-to-speech, word highlighting, and translation into multiple languages.

When working within CoSpaces Edu, students can open any instructional text in the Immersive Reader. This integration allows students to receive advanced help, making it easier to understand and follow instructions. The Immersive Reader's multilingual features support non-native English speakers in accessing the content in their preferred language, breaking down language barriers, and fostering a more inclusive learning environment. By supporting diverse learning needs, CoSpaces Edu is taking a significant step towards ensuring all students can thrive and succeed.

Longer CoSpaces Edu Trials

The free trial period of CoSpaces Edu has been extended to 45 days to give classrooms plenty of time to explore its full potential. This extension is designed to give users a full experience of all the advanced features available. It allows educators to thoroughly test the platform, integrate it into their lesson plans, and judge its impact on student engagement and learning outcomes.

Activating the trial is now more straightforward than ever. Users can activate the one-time trial directly within their CoSpaces Edu account without needing trial codes. This process allows educators to quickly and easily access the full suite of features, making it easier to decide whether to invest in a subscription.

Testing CoSpaces Edu Without an Account

We all know that trying out new educational tools can sometimes be a hassle, especially when creating an account is required. CoSpaces has introduced a new feature that allows students to test CoSpaces Edu without needing a sign-up. Educators who recommend CoSpaces Edu to their colleagues where they can begin creating and exploring immediately. This approach allows educators to quickly see the value and potential of incorporating CoSpaces Edu into their classrooms.

New Library Botany Object

Creativity and customization are at the heart of CoSpaces Edu, and they continually expand their library of objects to inspire and enable more imaginative scenes. The latest addition is the new botany object, which allows students to add large vegetation areas to their CoSpaces scenes. This new object opens many creative possibilities, whether you're designing a rainforest, an expansive garden, or an educational simulation of different ecosystems. By incorporating these objects into their projects, students can easily build large environments without duplicating individual objects.

Conclusion

These updates (coming at the end of August) are designed to support diverse learning needs, provide plenty of time for exploration, jumpstart new users, and inspire imaginative projects. I'm excited to see how these new features will be utilized in classrooms around the world, and I look forward to continuing our mission of empowering educators and students through innovative educational tools.
