Day 2 - Noun Town VR

Let's explore the world of foreign language learning using virtual reality. Noun Town uses immersive gameplay to make learning a new language fun and easy. When I took Spanish many years ago, my teacher always stressed the importance of practicing the language in real-life situations as much as possible. Using Noun Town, the student engages in a virtual reality scene to practice using Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, or Italian.

No matter where your students begin, Noun Town can help them master the basics and move on to more advanced concepts. Students are actively engaged by learning through play in exciting mini-games and interactive lessons.

Noun Town also offers a remarkable way to practice speaking like a native, with 16 characters to interact with using speech recognition. Noun Town removes the anxiety of using foreign languages in real life. New characters and gameplay modes will be unlocked as you learn.

Steps to get started

  1. Download the Noun Town VR app in Oculus Quest Store. ($14.99)

  2. Open the Noun Town app and follow the prompts to understand the controllers.

  3. Voila! Let the learning begin.
