One of my favorite maker activities in the Merge platform is creating a mini-city. In the Merge Object viewer app, the City Builder collection offers a variety of objects to add to your AR scene. From vehicles to signs, roads, buildings, and landscapes, this collection will give you plenty of opportunities to become a dream builder.
The experience can be viewed in the Merge Cube either in the World view on the ground or in 3D mode, to view each object independently without augmented reality. View the experience as a miniature city or make the objects life-size to walk into your city.
In my latest AR course on Verizon Innovative Learning HQ, I share several ways to create content with your Merge Cube, including the miniature or life-sized city using the Object Viewer City Builder collection. All of these lessons and resources are completely free for educators. Sign up for your free account at vz.to/3rod0UB.

Let your students unleash their imagination as they creatively place buildings, roads, and vehicles to design the perfect city. Bring in mathematical concepts such as geometry, algebra, and trigonometry as important skills for exceptional architectural design. Discuss
Geometry, algebra, and trigonometry all play a crucial role in architectural design. Introduce key terminology on sustainable architecture and design such as energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Challenge: Capture a picture of your miniature city creation and share it on social media using #ARVRinEDU.
